Art-director

Marina Davydova

Theatre historian and critic. Graduate of the theatre history department at GITIS and the master’s program at the State Institute of Art Studies; Ph. D, art history. She has taught at VGIK and RGGU. Previously, she was the theatre critic for Moscow News, Russian Telegraph, Time for News, Izvestia and OpenSpace. She has served as artistic director of the NET (New European Theatre) Festival since 1998. Since 2010, she has served as editor-in-chief of Teatr [Theatre]. Author: End of the Theatre Era and Culture Zero: Essays on Russian Life and the European Stage. She has been the program director of Wiener Festwochen since 2016. She has directed Eternal Russia at Hebbel am Ufer (Berlin, German), Checkpoint Woodstock at Thalia (Hamburg, German), Decline of the World at the MOI Theatre Space (Kazan, Russia). Cavalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

Roman Dolzhansky

Theatre historian and critic. Graduate of the theatre history department at GITIS. He worked as editor of the Moscow Observer and theatre critic for Kommersant. He has served as artistic director of the NET (New European Theatre) Festival since 1998. One of the founders of the Territoria Festival. Since 2008, he has served as the deputy artistic director of the Theatre of Nations, and since 2013 has served on the jury of The International Ibsen Award. Cavalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
